Aigerim Sarybay won the licence for the Olympic Games in Paris at the Asian Qualification Tournament in Fujairah. Passing the tournament stage of qualification Aigerim won 4 fights out of 5, which allowed her to take the third position in the standings. In the quarter-finals Aigerim defeated the representative from Vietnam with the score 15/11, in the semi-final meeting she defeated the athlete from Australia with the score 15/11. And finally, in the final thrilling fight she defeated the athlete from Hong Kong with the score 15/13 and confirmed her right to participate in the Olympic Games! It should be noted that the last time in women's sabre licence was won in 2012 by Julia Zhivitsa at the Olympics in London.
