During the presentation, the issues of the services of the new terminal and its advantages were discussed. Agreements have been reached on improving the efficiency of work to attract partners to the new EUROTRANS GATEWAY terminal. The new terminal is located on an area of 12 hectares, 5 kilometers west of Dostyk station, which is the maximum proximity to the station, as well as in close proximity to the Dostyk — Alashankou border crossing point. The terminal is designed for transshipment of containers from a railway gauge of 1435 millimeters (China) to a gauge of 1520 millimeters (Kazakhstan), cars and vice versa, as well as for processing, storage, repair, formation of block container trains traveling across the Kazakh-Chinese border.
